Welcome to the Sydney International difference
We provide a study and work environment which is free from discrimination on any basis, including gender, nationality, culture, religion, physical ability, and sexual preference. Sydney International offers a Master’s degree, a Bachelor Degree, and a Diploma in Information Technology (IT), and a Diploma in Business Information Systems (BIS).
Get started on your journey
Sydney International welcomes both Australian and International Students as part of our student cohort.
We are focused on the student experience, especially helping International Students adjust to living and studying in a new country. We value the diversity this creates in the classroom, the opportunity for students to share their experiences from different parts of the world, and the learning this brings.
Our students
Sydney International welcomes students from a diversity of cultural settings. This creates a vibrant learning experience which is enriched by the perspectives and experiences of students from a wide range of backgrounds.
We encourage students to get involved in the life of the campus through a range of student-related committees, and by being the student representative on some key decision-making committees. We will tell you more about the details of this during your student orientation. You can put your name forward to be directly involved as a student representative in areas which are of interest to you.
We offer three trimesters that let you spread your studies over the year and ease the load on you, while letting you meet the visa requirements for your total study load. You can also fast track your studies to complete your courses sooner.
Scholarships
We offer a range of academic scholarships to students who achieve outstanding grades as they progress through their studies.
We have a range of scholarships, awards, and other incentives to students who achieve excellent results both during and on completion of their studies.

Admission Requirements
A Student visa is required for International Students. You must always follow the conditions of your visa.
Your visa conditions may include the study load you must take, your successful progression through the course, and the hours of employment you may undertake while studying. These provisions are set out on the Department of Home Affairs website.
If you have any questions about these requirements or your circumstances change, Sydney International staff will provide you with guidance and assistance or help you in discussing this with the relevant authorities.
Requirements include:
- Meeting the academic entry requirements for your chosen course of study.
- Having an English proficiency (IELTS) of at least 6 for the Bachelor program and 5.5 for the Diploma programs.
- Being over 18 years of age when commence your study.
- Having an approved student visa for Australia for your course of study.
- Meeting other entry requirements as a student (for example you must have private health insurance to cover your stay in Australia).
Our Diploma programs are a good starting point if you can’t start your Bachelor program yet. When you graduate from the Diploma you will be eligible to enter the Bachelor program in 2nd year.
Our Diploma of Information Technology and Diploma of Business Information Systems also function as standalone qualifications for entry-level jobs.
The Diplomas are designed so that graduates may qualify for ‘Certified Technologist’ status with the Australian Computer Society (ACS) after three years of experience.
